Before I got into decorating entire rooms, I started out by painting furniture. I love to find the beauty in an old piece of furniture by bringing it back to life with new paint and hardware. And it is very environmentally friendly re-using an old piece instead of throwing it into the landfill. I usually paint the piece according to the client's requests, but every once and a while I have creative freedom with paint color and technique. One of the first pieces I did was this large corner cabinet. The original color was a factory sprayed, chipped and pealing red paint color with layers upon layers of dust and dirt, and in dire need of some TLC. The client wanted black for simplicity and this Granny Smith apple green for a punch to showcase her blue and white china collection.
